Carolina site planning
A freestanding pergola must be evaluated for its actual mounting surface and exposure. Checkout collects the surface type, drainage, slope, requested orientation, nearby structures, property-line clearance, and photographs of the complete work area. Wind-related manufacturer statements depend on correct anchoring and do not replace site-specific review, permitting, or structural requirements.
The PowerPort is an accessory connection point, not a source of permanent power. An existing lawful outdoor-rated receptacle must already be available for standard use. New electrical work, trenching, deck reinforcement, concrete, footings, or grading are outside the base package unless separately described and priced.
What happens before installation
The self-service path calculates only a prepared-site installed package. It screens the delivery address, gate and access width, unloading location, carry distance, surface, utilities, permit or HOA status, and foundation or anchoring conditions. Answers that indicate excavation, uncertain utilities, structural mounting, or unresolved approvals stop checkout before payment.
After the site passes screening, HHM coordinates delivery, checks cartons and parts, assembles the identified kit using the manufacturer instructions, performs the approved anchoring scope, cleans the work area, and completes a customer walkthrough. Nonstandard work requires separate written acceptance.
Items priced after site validation
- Concrete, slab, deck, paver, or ground preparation
- Deck reinforcement or structural engineering
- Electrical circuit, receptacle, trenching, or permanent connection
- Difficult access, stairs, crane/hoisting, or long material carry
- Permit, HOA, utility-location, or zoning work
- Removal or disposal of an existing structure
Important: This is an installed-product package. The product is not offered as an item-only purchase. Final scope and price depend on site readiness, access, anchoring, delivery, and any required trade work.
Manufacturer performance and warranty statements remain subject to the product-specific manual and required anchoring. HHM installation coverage is stated separately in the final order documents.
