Replacing a major home system is rarely only an equipment purchase. Electrical service, plumbing distribution, heating and cooling, ventilation, fuel, drainage, controls, access, finishes, and the building enclosure can affect one another. A coordinated plan helps expose those connections before demolition, ordering, or rough-in.
HHM develops the engineering, trade design, condition assessment, permit path, and pricing from verified field conditions, selected equipment, manufacturer instructions, adopted requirements, utility information, and the responsible qualified professionals.
Begin with a condition and capacity record
Document equipment identity and age where known, observed symptoms, prior repairs, service records, accessible distribution conditions, recurring moisture, comfort or power concerns, and planned additions or load changes. A visible panel, pipe, duct, or appliance does not establish condition, capacity, compatibility, or remaining service life.
Do not open energized equipment, disturb fuel or refrigerant systems, enter unsafe attics or crawlspaces, operate unreliable shutoffs, or open concealed assemblies merely to prepare an online estimate. Active leaks near electricity, combustion concerns, sewage, overheating, arcing, structural movement, or suspected hazardous materials require an appropriate stop and qualified assessment.
Define the replacement boundary
Clarify whether the project addresses one failed component, a distribution system, service capacity, controls, ventilation, water heating, drainage, or a broader renovation. Record what remains, what is replaced, which existing conditions are excluded, and which discoveries require a revised scope.
Coordinate loads and future plans
Planned additions, kitchens, baths, electric vehicles, generators, pools, accessory spaces, high-demand appliances, accessibility features, and occupancy changes are included in HHM’s project-specific capacity and equipment selection.
Plan routes, access, and restoration
Map likely equipment locations, panels, shutoffs, cleanouts, drains, ducts, piping, wiring, controls, penetrations, service access, condensate, outdoor equipment, and maintenance clearances. Identify who restores framing, fire and air control layers, roofing, siding, drywall, cabinets, flooring, paint, and landscaping after trade work.
Separate estimate assumptions from verified scope
HHM’s preliminary estimate identifies assumed quantities, access, equipment level, existing capacity, permits, inspections, demolition, disposal, finish restoration, testing, and exclusions. Estimated inputs are marked and replaced as conditions, selected systems, current product and labor costs, approvals, and trade scopes are verified.
Plan permits, inspections, and commissioning
HHM coordinates address- and scope-specific permits, licensing, design, utilities, inspections, testing, and commissioning. Completion is documented through the approved project record, measurements, manufacturer requirements, and authority closeout—not a photograph or startup alone.
