Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to HHM Core Blog, hhmcustomhome.com, and related pages operated by HHM Custom Homes LLC (“HHM,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site. Separate written agreements govern any construction, renovation, installation, product, delivery, financing, brokerage, subscriber, trade-contractor, or other engagement with HHM.

You must be at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to agree to these Terms. If you use the site for a company, property owner, customer, or other person, you represent that you are authorized to act for that party. A parent or legal guardian is responsible for any permitted use by a minor.

Informational content only

Site content is general educational and informational material. It does not replace an on-site assessment or advice from an appropriately qualified contractor, architect, engineer, inspector, attorney, tax professional, financial professional, real-estate professional, permitting authority, manufacturer, or other specialist. Requirements and conditions vary by property, product, county, municipality, project, and time.

Do not use site content to perform hazardous work, bypass permits or inspections, defeat safety controls, or work outside required credentials, manufacturer instructions, and safe procedures.

Project requests and no automatic relationship

Viewing the site, using a calculator, submitting a form, uploading a file, communicating with HHM, or requesting information does not establish feasibility, scope, price, schedule, project acceptance, a construction contract, agency or brokerage relationship, professional-client relationship, credit relationship, or guarantee of service. HHM may decline or be unable to pursue a request. Availability depends on location, scope, capacity, credentials, site conditions, product availability, and a written agreement signed by the applicable parties.

Forms, uploads, and communications

Provide accurate information that you are authorized to submit. The released general project-request form does not accept files or photos. If HHM later provides an approved upload method, do not upload malware, unlawful or infringing material, confidential third-party information without permission, or sensitive personal, identity, financial, financing, insurance, medical, security, access-code, account, or minors’ information unless that method and its notice expressly permit the material for a defined purpose. Do not submit unredacted documents or images containing personal data through ordinary email or a general inquiry.

The Homeowner Project Request Form’s required acknowledgment permits HHM to respond about the specific request by email, telephone call, or text message. It is not consent to unrelated marketing, recurring promotional text messages, or automated or prerecorded calls. Any optional marketing or channel-specific consent must be separate where required and is not a condition of submitting a general project request.

HHM may reject, quarantine, restrict, or delete a submission that appears unsafe, unauthorized, excessive, irrelevant, or inconsistent with these Terms. Submission does not guarantee review, storage, response, acceptance, or return of materials.

Material you submit

You retain ownership of material you are authorized to submit. You grant HHM and its service providers a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, transmit, review, adapt for technical formatting, and use that material only as reasonably necessary to evaluate or perform the request, operate and secure the service, keep required records, and comply with law. This license ends when the material is no longer needed for those purposes, subject to permitted records, backups, disputes, and legal holds. It does not give HHM permission to use a customer’s private project material in advertising, a portfolio, AI training, or an unrelated publication without separate authorization.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the material and that HHM’s permitted handling will not violate another person’s rights, confidentiality, contract, or law.

Calculators, estimates, prices, products, and installed packages

Online calculators, cost ranges, installation examples, product information, availability, lead times, and displayed prices are planning information only unless a signed written agreement expressly states otherwise. They are not bids, offers, appraisals, guarantees, or promises of total project cost. Taxes, permits, design, engineering, delivery, freight, site work, labor conditions, code requirements, selections, concealed conditions, change orders, financing, and other project-specific factors may change the result.

Product names and specifications belong to their respective owners and must be confirmed for the exact item. A product-only purchase is different from an installed project. Installation scope, responsibility, suitability, access, delivery, permits, commissioning, warranty, cancellation, returns, and payment terms must be stated in the applicable checkout or written agreement before purchase.

Financing information

Financing information is provided for general convenience and is not a credit offer, approval, payment quote, rate promise, or guarantee. Applications are handled through the identified provider under its own terms, privacy notice, underwriting, eligibility, rates, fees, and disclosures. Use the provider’s secure application page rather than a general HHM project form. HHM does not make the financing decision unless an applicable written disclosure expressly states otherwise.

Acceptable use

You may not interfere with site operation or security; attempt unauthorized access; evade access controls; scrape or copy the site in a way that burdens systems or violates law or contract; impersonate another person; submit false, deceptive, infringing, or unlawful material; or use the site to distribute malware or unsolicited communications. HHM may restrict access, preserve evidence, and report conduct when reasonably necessary to protect the site, users, or others.

Intellectual property

Unless otherwise identified, HHM owns or licenses the site design, branding, original text, and other original materials. You may view and print reasonable portions for personal, noncommercial use. You may not republish, sell, remove notices from, or commercially exploit site materials without written permission or another legal right. Third-party trademarks, videos, images, products, and materials remain subject to their owners’ rights and terms.

Third-party links, embeds, providers, advertising, and affiliate relationships

Third-party links, forms, videos, embeds, products, advertisements, financing providers, and services are provided for convenience. HHM does not control or automatically endorse every third-party statement, practice, price, availability, or result. Third parties apply their own terms and privacy notices. Material affiliate, sponsorship, free-product, reseller, or other commercial relationships should be disclosed near the affected content and in HHM’s Affiliate & Advertising Disclosure.

Corrections and availability

HHM may add, revise, correct, suspend, or remove site content or features. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or that every item is complete, current, error-free, or suitable for a particular property or purpose. Report a possible error to group@hhmcustomhome.com or use the site’s Corrections & Updates process.

Disclaimers and limits

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the site and its general content are provided “as is” and “as available.” HHM disclaims warranties that may legally be disclaimed, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. To the extent permitted by applicable law, HHM will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising solely from use of or inability to use the general website content.

These Terms do not exclude rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded and do not replace warranties, remedies, insurance requirements, liability terms, dispute provisions, or consumer protections in an applicable signed agreement or law.

Applicable agreements and law

An applicable signed project, product, financing, brokerage, subscriber, trade-contractor, or other agreement controls if it conflicts with these general website Terms for that transaction. Governing law, venue, dispute resolution, warranty, and remedy provisions in that agreement also control that engagement.

For use of the general website only, these Terms are governed by North Carolina law, without applying rules that would require another jurisdiction’s law. Subject to any mandatory consumer right or applicable small-claims procedure, disputes concerning only these Terms or general website use must be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. This paragraph does not override a different valid provision in a signed agreement and does not waive protections that applicable law does not allow a consumer to waive.

Changes and contact

HHM may update these Terms as the site and its services change. The effective date identifies the current version. Material changes must complete HHM’s governance process before publication.
